| Sunplus Monthly Sales Report - September 2009 |

| Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, October 07, 2009 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. ("Sunplus" or "the Company") (TAIEX: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today announced that monthly net sales for September 2009 totaled NT$853 million, an increase of 14.19% compared to last month and 28.69% compared to the same month in 2008. The sales of multimedia IC for September 2009 was NT$840 million which increased 18.09% compared to last month and 110.01% compared to the same month in 2008.
The revenues for third quarter in 2009 totaled NT$2,248 million, an increase of 30.05% compared to last quarter and 46.57% compared to the same quarter in 2008.
Net sales for January through September 2009 totaled NT$4,906 million, a decrease of 1.23% compared to the same period in 2008.
