| Sunplus Monthly Sales Report - July 2009 |

| Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, August 10, 2009 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. ("Sunplus" or "the Company") (TAIEX: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today announced that monthly net sales for July 2009 totaled NT$648 million, an increase of 10.13% compared to last month and an increase of 46.57% compared to the same month in 2008. Net sales for January through July 2009 totaled NT$3,306 million, a decrease of -14.69% compared to the same period in 2008.
